| Internship Opportunities
Beacon is a strong supporter of enhancing the knowledge and experience sought by students of higher education. As a company, we have developed a strong program for providing experience in a real world environment to students who qualify. This program includes the opportunity for up to 3 Computer Science majors and 2 MIS majors to become actively involved in the day to day operations of a technology firm. Interns are given the opportunity to participate in areas they have a special interest in such as: programming, web site design, network management, hardware repair, and training. Students are required to assist in the planning of their internship and must establish functional goals to be achieved. Interns are then required to keep a log of activities and must prepare a synopsis of their internship at the end.
Beacon draws interns from several area colleges including Salisbury University, University of Maryland - Eastern Shore and WOR-WIC Community College.
